Bariatric Pre-Surgical Evaluations are conducted to determine if a patient is a good fit to undergo a surgical procedure. The bariatric pre-surgical evaluation will look at cognitive and emotional functioning, behavioral components, current life situation, the patient's understanding, expectations, and motivation to help determine suitability for the specific type of bariatric surgery. Bariatric pre-surgical evaluations are sometimes required by the patient's insurance company. I will work closely with the client and referring physician to determine the best course of action.
